Blog Hops (10)

Book Blogger Hop
"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"

Well, that's a really tough question. It honestly depends on the book. If the characters are easy enough to relate to and, for the most part, likable, then some books can survive with little to no plot, and the same goes for a really exciting, interesting plot with not-so-great characters. Like I said, it's really a case-by-case kind of thing and not something that I can give one big general answer to.

What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?

My AA is going to be in Language Arts, and I don't actually have a job, since I'm sixteen and can't drive myself to any job that I could get. As soon as I finish my AA, I'm planning on an English degree from wherever I end up going. I don't tend to think too far ahead, though, and since I just started college (this is my first semester as a full-time student) I'm not 100% sure about anything besides the AA.

I'm totally with plot. :) The most solid answer to this question but it's still on someone's preference. Anyway, read my answer in Clandestine Sanctuary.

I'm an old follower. Have a great weekend.

Hello my dear,

I think that characters are very important. I love seeing what happen to them and I love to swoon over a few fictional boyfriends more then I should. ;)

I recently finished a Biological Degree. Now I am working on a degree in History, Humanities, and Religious studies. I think I might never stop, Yes, the Mad Scientist thinks that she will be a lifer student. LOL!

I'm also the creater of Morbid Romantica Challenge 2011 which I'm trying to get off the ground. It should be a very fun challenge. AND it wont seem like homework. *smirk*

Today was the start of a Hardcover giveaway for Beautiful Creatures and Beautiful Darkness @ Ridley's Giveaway

This might be the best Book Blogger Hop question I've seen to date.

So what's the answer? Plot! Hop over to my blog and let me tell you how a good plot rescued bad characters from bad book oblivion.

I totally agree with you about the characters/plot. It fluctuates depending on the actual book.

I prefer characters over plot. But both are important. Happy Blog Hop.

Happy HOP! First off I'd say both are important to how I enjoy the story but ultimately it's the characters for me. Hope you're enjoying your weekend :)

Just take it one step at a time! Once you have your AA, then you can think about moving on. I have an AA in Humanities and I'm close to an AS in Math. Soon, I'll get to travel to Uni.

Happy weekend!
