In My Mailbox (2)

The Story Siren

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren that I participate in every once in a while (a.k.a., whenever I can remember.) This week, like most, I don't have very many books to list, but hopefully I give some good publicity to those that I did receive. Darn canceled orders recently ;<

As usual, links are to GoodReads.

Dracula In Love by Karen Essex

The classical tale of Dracula, which most of us have read and loved, told from Mina's point of view as she falls in love with the count. Obviously, not what really happened, but still interesting. I like to think of it as alternative history xD Got this as an ARC to review.

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

This one is Andrea Cremer's debut, and it seems to be about a werewolf girl slated to become alpha female who falls in love with a human boy. Kind of the opposite of normal werewolf YA, and it looks really interesting. Also an ARC.

Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I've heard a lot of good things about this spin-off of the Dark-Hunter series, and though I haven't read the D-Hs, I thought I'd check this one out and see if it's any good. Haven't really figured out what it's about yet.

The Secret of Ka by Christopher Pike

Um... Flying carpets. I think that's all there is to say about this book. It's by the same author as The Last Vampire, so it can't be too bad, plus, I got it as an ARC for reviewing, so even if it sucks, it was free! I love free books :D

So, looking forward to reading all these books, but the only one I'll get to in the next few days is Dracula In Love for Once Upon A Read-A-Thon. (Shameless button plug to follow.)

@geekyreads: Tell me what you think of it when you finish it. I'm dying to read it, just as soon as I finish with Once Upon A Read-A-Thon :)

I only recently read Christopher Pike's Last Vampire series but I am so intrigued by the Secret of Ka. It does sound good. Happy reading!
